Recently, native communities in Canada had the issue of having contaminated water coming out of their taps. Unfortunately, lead is unsafe and should not be taken in as the polluted water can cause sickness. To test the water it is a procedure household do not usually complete. This is because it is pricey, it is time-consuming and the water conditions can change over time. This project will be a device to monitor the water conditions 24/7 to ensure safety. As the water runs through the device it would reach a sector that will sense pH levels of the water, if it is too basic or acidic (out of range 6.5-8.5) then that data will be portrayed on the sink top, to keep the owner notified and able to act upon it. We will also use this data in collaboration with cities and water facilities to better maintain safe drinking water for all communities.
